- This template is set up for home printing, but larger formats like 12-inch LP jackets will typically require a print shop or tabloid/A3 paper.
How to print, cut, and assemble a Vinyl Jacket
Vinyl jackets are typically made from heavier cardstock and folded into a sleeve that holds the inner sleeve and record.
- Print on heavier stock (at least 80lb – 100lb cover)
- Score all fold lines before folding to avoid cracking
- Use glue or double-sided adhesive on the side seams
- Allow for slight bleed — the design extends past trim lines intentionally
This generator creates print-ready vinyl jackets with properly spaced panels for front cover, back cover, and spine. You can easily input album details, track listings, credits, and artwork, and the layout will adapt to fit classic record sleeve proportions.

Why did you make this?
After building tools for VHS, cassette tapes, CDs, and center labels, the next step was obvious. People wanted a way to design full vinyl packaging.
