I know! This tool handles everything - movie metadata, studio logos, ratings, runtime, and cast information - all formatted to look like an authentic VHS label from the 90s. Want to see what Mad Max Fury Road would look like as a VHS rental? Now you can.
The tool generates both main face labels and spine labels, designed to match standard VHS dimensions. It automatically pulls studio logos, ratings, cast information, and other metadata directly from TMDB.
Why did you make this?
I was recently gifted a VHS/TV Combo. It wasn't long before I started making my own custom VHS tapes, and my kids wanted in on it too. They wanted to record soooooo many tapes and it was getting chaotic. I started to Photoshop labels and realized it was super tedious.
I wanted to find a VHS label generator -- something that would automatically pull the logo, runtime, directors, and top cast. I couldn't find one, so I built it! I ended up getting a lot of feedback from folks wanting to make full sleeve covers, so I added that, too and now we’ve got several more old media generators in the works.
