Double VHS Slipcover
Double VHS Slipcover Maker
This tool lets you design custom VHS slipcovers for double-tape releases. These are the wider slipcases used for box sets, extended cuts, TV events, and anything that needed two tapes to tell the whole story.
The designer automatically pulls posters, logos, cast, and metadata to help you build a print-ready slipcover that looks like it came straight off a video store shelf — just wider.

Designing a double VHS slipcover
Start by searching above for a movie, TV show, or custom title. Once loaded, you can adjust colors, switch posters, choose logos, and add stickers or wear to dial in the look. When you’re ready, hit Download to export a print-ready PDF or PNG. You can also use Copy and Paste to drop the design directly into the printable template before sending it to a print shop.
This mode is ideal for long films, multi-part TV specials, recorded broadcasts, or homemade box sets.
Printing and assembling double VHS slipcovers
Double VHS slipcovers require larger paper than standard labels or sleeves. You’ll need access to an 11 × 17 inch printer or a local print shop.
For best results, print at 100% scale with no resizing. Cardstock in the 12pt–14pt range gives the most authentic stiffness, though thinner paper can work if spray-mounted to a backing sheet. After printing, cut along the darker trim lines, fold along the lighter guides, glue or tape the flaps, and slide the finished slipcover over your two-tape VHS case.
Printable templates are available for Tabloid (11 Ă— 17 in) and A3 (420 Ă— 297 mm) formats, and can be edited further in Photoshop or online in Photopea.
What is a double VHS slipcover?
A double VHS slipcover is a wider protective sleeve designed to hold two VHS tapes side by side. These were commonly used for longer movies, collector editions, director’s cuts, and box sets in the VHS era.
Beyond protection, slipcovers were a chance to expand artwork across a wider canvas — more room for imagery, credits, taglines and more.

Why I built this
I was gifted a VHS/TV combo and started recording movies and shows at home. Then my kids got involved. Suddenly we had stacks of unlabeled tapes and zero organization.
I started making labels in Photoshop, which worked, but was painfully slow. I looked for a generator that could pull logos, runtimes, directors, and cast automatically and couldn’t find one — so I built it. People quickly started asking for full sleeves, then box-style slipcovers, then wider formats for double tapes. This page is the result of that evolution.
