Blu-ray/UHD Slipcover Maker

Quickly create custom Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray slipcovers to finish off your collection the way studios intended. This slipcover generator automatically pulls movie posters, logos, and metadata so you can design thick cardboard sleeves that slide perfectly over standard Blu-ray or 4K UHD cases.

How to make Blu-ray Slipcovers using the designer

Start by searching above for a movie or TV title. Once loaded, you can adjust colors, choose between available logos, and fine-tune the layout to match official studio releases or create something entirely custom. When you’re ready to print, hit Download and choose PDF for best results, or PNG if you need an image file. You can also use Copy and Paste & Print to drop the design into a printable template. From there, send it to a print shop, cut it out, glue it up, and slide it over your Blu-ray or UHD case.

How to print & assemble Blu-ray Slipcovers

Blu-ray slipcovers are printed on thicker stock than VHS sleeves. Most people take these files to a local print shop for best results, because home printers aren't designed for thicker stocks. Make sure the file is printed at actual size, not scaled to fit. A heavier cardstock works best so the sleeve feels like an authentic retail slip. If needed, you can print on thinner paper and mount it to a second sheet to build up thickness. Once printed, cut along the solid lines, fold along the lighter guides, secure the flaps with glue or double-sided tape, and slide the finished sleeve over your Blu-ray case.

Templates are available for Legal (8.5in x 14in), Tabloid size at (11in x 17in) and metric printing at A3 (297mm Ă— 420 mm), compatible with Photoshop or online tools like Photopea.

What is a Blu-ray Slipcover?

A Blu-ray slipcover is the rigid cardboard sleeve that slides over a standard Blu-ray or UHD case. These are commonly included with first pressings, special editions, and collector releases. Slipcovers add durability, visual impact on the shelf, and extra space for artwork, logos, and branding beyond what fits on the plastic case insert.

The Blu-ray Slipcover Maker includes everything you need to make custom cases for your media. You can add decals and stickers inspired by retail exclusives and collector editions, choose content ratings from regions around the world, and apply subtle wear textures for realism or keep things perfectly clean for a modern UHD look. Multiple poster options are available for each title, with support for uploading your own artwork. Studio and production logos are automatically pulled in, and full color customization lets you match official branding or experiment with alternate designs. All output is print-ready at high resolution for professional results.

Why did you make this?

After building a VHS label maker, it became obvious that Blu-ray collectors wanted the same level of control. Designing these by hand in Photoshop was slow and repetitive, especially when dealing with logos, ratings, and spine alignment. This tool grew out of the same idea as the VHS generator: automatically pull the boring stuff so you can focus on making the fun part.
